Three philosophic questions will shape the foundation of the educational process in the sport industry:

  • Who I am?

  • Why I matter?

These questions will lead to a second set of questions that focus on the development of hard skills:

  • What am I passionate about?
  • What can I be the best at?
  • What drives my economic engine?

    To be recognized as the program that creates a collective passion about sport and people, thrive on competition and change and want to win in the industry and life!

    Mission

    Students will define their future, develop knowledge and experience, and ultimately create opportunities for success in the sport industry.

    Outcomes

    Students who complete the program will be moldable, credible and adaptable

    Moldable: Students will complete a process that will allow them to tap into their unique voice and become moldable as they complete each course.  Tapping into their unique voice will allow them to move from an occupation (something that occupies their time) to a vocation (becoming part of something bigger than themselves).

    Credible: Students will complete a process that will allow the to develop "hard skills" that will allow the to close the execution gap between education and training and begin to focus on why they want to build a career in the sport industry and what training or "hard skills" they will need to secure a position within the industry.

    Adaptable: Students will understand the concept of sudden change and how they can use this concept to create a differential advantage as the compete for their position within the industry.  Ultimately, through this outcome, students will look different and run faster in the sport marketplace.
