Currently the Department offers a M.S. in Health, Physical Education and Recreation with a concentration in Sport Management. The Department has proposed that this degree be modified and that an entirely separate degree (M.S. in Leisure and Sport Management) be created effective fall 2010. It will have concentrations in Leisure Services Management and The Sport Industry. We believe that this change will better serve the needs of the students and the industry. Students currently in the program and graduating before Summer 2010 will receive the current M.S. in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation (with their respective concentration). Students currently in the program and graduating after August 2010 will have the option of remaining in the current program or switching to the new degree. If a student completes a change of degree program to the new degree the student will have to meet the curricular requirements of the new degree. *All students admitted to the program after summer 2010 will automatically be in the new degree program. |
